Healthy living starts now.
While curiosity may have killed the cat, being curious and asking questions keeps me going every day. When I came across the phrase below, I folded the page over and found myself returning to it over and over again – each time, I asked a new question: What does that mean? Why is there no footnote? Why have I never heard this before?
“it is impossible for cancer to develop in an alkaline environment” (This seemingly simple phrase appears in Brendan Brazier’s book Thrive: The Vegan Nutrition Guide to Optimal Performance in Sports and Life.)
The more I read, the more I realized that each one of us can take control of our health. I read of people overcoming health obstacles when history indicated they shouldn’t. I learned of people becoming strong health advocates for themselves and others. And I wanted to learn more.
So… I talked with people, attended conferences and workshops, and I kept on reading. All of this brought me to the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, where I enrolled in a program to become an Integrative Nutrition Health Coach.
